Mr. Dandrell Williams is the President and Owner of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home and Cremations,LLC. He was born in Goldsboro, NC to the late Daniel "Danny" Lee Wade and Deborah Williams in 1986. He began working in the funeral industry at the age of 18 years old and has devoted his life to the funeral industry. Not many can understand the level of commitment one must have to serve the bereaved. He is currently active with the Wayne County Sheriffs Department and a 2009-2010 Iraqi War Veteran. Mr. Williams has always held jobs that would require him to give of himself selflessly. In October of 2016 he decided to follow the vision God gave him. Mr. Williams is a 2013 Graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College, majoring in Funeral Service Education and receiving a diploma in Funeral Directing. Mr. Williams says, "Although my road to ownership has not been easy, I made it with the grace of God." He is honored to bring the vision to pass as Owner of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home a place where we believe families can be confident that they will receive service from professionals and honest trustworthy service. He wants Serenity Memorial to be the place God gives families Serenity to accept the things they cannot change, the courage to change the things that they can, and the wisdom to know the difference. We aim to be an "Oasis of Hope in the Community".
Mr. Bobby L. Summers serves as the Vice-President of Serenity Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations, LLC. Mr. Summers was born in Wayne County, NC and was raised in the North End Community. He is a very active member of St. Mark Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. Mr. Summers is a retired Captain with the NC Department of Corrections after 32 years of service. He is a former Goldsboro Police Officer, and he is the CEO of B&B Transportation. Both Mr. Summers and Mr. Williams add over 50 years of combined experience as a former employee of Hamilton Funeral Chapel for over 20 years. Mr. Summers is the voice of reason for Serenity Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations, a man who is truly wise beyond his years.
Mr. Kevin A. Herring a 1981 graduate of the McAllister Institute of Funeral Service; he also holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Mt. Olive in 2003. Mr. Herring has devoted his life to serving families for over 30 years. He has been the co-owner of Herring Funeral Care and Cremations of Fayetteville, NC since 2006. Mr. Herring is a Master Embalmer having been called on by name to serve the families of many of his colleagues in the funeral industry. Mr. Herring served as the former manager of Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro from 99-2006. We at Serenity Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations, LLC., are honored to have Mr. Herring aid us in serving families with his dynamic restorative art skills and his ability to present a life like appearance to all those who we have the honor to serve. Mr. Herring feels that you only get one chance to leave a lasting impression and his professional presentation has been key to his success in the funeral ministry.
Willie Frank Smith was born in Wayne County and enjoyed most of his childhood in Fremont, NC. He is the owner of Smittys' Cleaning Service. He is retired from AP Parts after 30 years of service. "Uncle Willie" as the staff calls him, serves as the Funeral Service Liaison. He has devoted the past 7 years to serving the bereaved families of Wayne and surrounding counties. We are glad to call him a friend and honored to have him on our team of professionals.
Tyrell McDuffie was born April 17, 1997 to the late Latasha E. McDuffie and Eric Aycock. He is 2015 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. He holds a Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Dallas Theological Institute. He is also an ordained Elder from the Evangelical Fellowship Center. Tyrell loves the things of God and loves to give his service to the community in any capacity he can, especially through serving those bereaved through Serenity Memorial Funeral Home.
Elder Will Best is the Pastor of Salvation Deliverance and Healing Ministries of Goldsboro,NC. He is married to the lovely Ha'Neefa Best and is the proud father of 4 children. We are honored to have Pastor Best on our staff to aid us in providing healing to the bereaved families who trust us in their hour of bereavement.
Gwen Thompson is a Member of Burning Bush Holiness Church of Faison, NC and the wife of Mr. Delton Thompson,Jr. She serves our families as a family attendant and limousine driver. We are proud to have her on our team of professionals.
